Remote Desktop Connection Procedure

REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTION PROCEDURE

 

  1. Once the VPN is enabled and connected, open Remote Desktop Connection on your computer.

For Windows 7/8/10 Users:


Start the Windows Run Dialog (using the key combination [Win-Logo] + [R]) – See bullet [1] in the below screenshot.

In the Open box, enter the command: mstsc

Click OK

Remote Desktop Connection will now open­ – See bullet [2] in the below screenshot.

 

  1. Enter your Computer: COMPUTER_NAME
  2. Username: DOMAIN\username
  3. Select “Allow me to save credentials”.
  4. Click on “Save As…”
  5. Select your Desktop, enter the file name as Office PC” and click OK – Remote Desktop Connection will be available on your Desktop for future use.
  6. Select Connect to connect to your office PC.
  7. Enter your “Domain Password” to establish a connection. – This is the same password you used to establish the VPN.


Note A: If you do not know your COMPUTER_NAME or DOMAIN, please open a ticket with support by sending an email to netsupport@appsolute.com.


Note B: Remote Desktop connection will work ONLY if VPN connection is enabled and connected.
