Checking the CDM.CoAuthHandler.exe process

Modified on Mon, Mar 24 at 6:42 PM

When you install CDM, we register a process called CDM.CoAuthHandler.exe. The CDM installer has a strict detection method to check that it registers this process successfully. If this process fails, co-authoring will not work with CDM. To check if the CDM installer has registered CDM.CoAuthHandler.exe successfully:

  1. Press Windows + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.

  2. Enter regedit in the Open: box, then select OK. The User Account Control dialog box appears.

  3. Select Yes to launch the Registry Editor.

  4. Expand the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT registry hive to select CLSID > {1fd0f480-ccf3-4596-b2de-e536e683241e}LocalServer32 (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{1fd0f480-ccf3-4596-b2de-e536e683241e}\LocalServer32).

  5. You should see the ServerExecutable REG_SZ value. The value should point to the CDM.CoAuthHandler.exe located where you installed CDM.

By default, the location will be: C:\Program Files\IAM Cloud\Cloud Drive Mapper\CDM.CoAuthHandler.exe.
